This was a lot of work. Down the drain.
Today was my last day at work as a biologist. As I cleared out the desk I've had for almost 11 years, I couldn't help but think about how much knowledge I was throwing away. I was opening all of my notebooks, emptying all my notes and tossing them away. All the years of school and studying and note taking and learning--literally in the trash.
Not many people can say that they have had one single job (career) since graduating college. I could. I was a Fisheries Biologist.
Today I started my new job. I am the luckiest person in the world to be able to stay home and raise my child. I get to be a part of (and hopefully witness) every single milestone. Her first time crawling, her first steps, her first tooth, her first day at school. I hope in 11 years I can say i did an amazing job being a mom.
Riley had her first cold today. So far so good.
